The Haywood County Arts Council’s Gallery 86 will host an exhibition, “Fire & Ice: Pottery, Glass, and Metalwork.” beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16, to Saturday, Feb. 9.  Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

“Fire & Ice: Pottery, Glass, and Metalwork” celebrates the heating and cooling process involved in the making of pottery, glass, and metal work.  An artist’s reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25.  Artists featured in the show include Brad Dodson, from Mud Dabbers Ceramics and Pottery Studio (pottery), John Nickerson (pottery), Bob Brotherton (pottery), Cathey Bolton, from Art on Depot (pottery), Terance Painter, from Different Drummer Pottery (pottery), Grace Cathey (metal work), Teresa Sizemore, from Nature of Steel (metal work), Susan ...
