May 3 marked the first Art After Dark of the 2013 season, and despite the chilly rainy weather, plenty of art lovers came out to enjoy the live art demonstrations, entertainment and late hours offered by the monthly event, which runs from May through December on the first Friday of every month.

A number of art studios and galleries in downtown Waynesville participate in Art After Dark, including Cedar Hill Studios, T. Pennington Art Gallery, Grace Cathey Sculpture Garden and Gallery, Earthworks, Haywood County Arts Council’s Gallery 86, Main Street Artist of Waynesville, Jeweler's Workbench, Twigs and Leaves Gallery, and the Village.
