First indoor flea market to be held Feb. 1

Looking for something to buy or have something to sell? Come out to the first indoor flea market of 2014 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Haywood County Fairgrounds located off of Highway 209 North in Lake Junaluska.

Booths cost $20 to rent and are 10' by 12'. Each booth includes two tables. For more information about booths, call 400-1529. Rental fees must be received no later than Wednesday, Jan. 29 to guarantee booth space. In the event there is an open booth beside you, extra tables can be purchased for a $10.00 fee. All checks should be made payable to Haywood County Fairgrounds and mailed to: Attn: Janet Messer, 758 Crabtree Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.

Set-up time will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. For security reasons, the doors will not be opened until 5 p.m. and will be locked promptly at 7 p.m. without exception. If you are not present by 5:45 p.m. on Friday and have not contacted Janet prior to this date, your table will be reassigned on a first-come first-serve basis.  In the event of a no-show, table rental fee will be held for one month only. All vendors must be ready to clear the building no later than 2:45 p.m. on the day of the flea market

No firearms, weapons, ammunition, alcohol or tobacco products can be displayed or sold.

Concessions and breakfast will be available.

Weather permitting, the following are the scheduled dates for the flea market this year: March 1, May 3, June 7, July 12, Aug. 2, Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 13.
