WAYNESVILLE — Foster David Lee Trantham, 73, of 1178 Edwards Cove Road, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Violet Hall Trantham and was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Trantham. He was retired from B.A.S.F. and attended Faith Community Church. He was a former deacon at Spirit and Truth Baptist Church and Welcome Hill Baptist Church. Foster created laughter and joy wherever he went. He let his light shine in the darkest places. He praised Jesus during the happy and sad times of his life.
