Wonderful Husband, Father

CANTON —  Gilbert Franklin "Frank" Jones, 65, of Wiggins Street, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012.

Mr. Jones was born May 5, 1947, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, to the late Saul Jones and the late Lola Galloway Jones.  He received his early education from the New York City Catholic School System and also attended the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.  Frank had resided most of his adult life in Haywood County and had retired in 2004 from Blue Ridge Paper, with 25 years of dedicated service. He was of the Baptist faith.  Frank was a talented musician, having been the lead guitarist  for several bands and most recently performed with the Full House Band.
