CANTON — Frederick Walter Holmes, Jr., 58, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 1, 2012, at his residence. He was born on June 16, 1954, to Frederick Sr. and Jean Grandin Holmes. Frederick enjoyed gardening, Star Trek, fishing, golfing, watching movies, walking in the woods, and hanging out with the dogs, (Gracie and Buster). He had a big heart and had an ambition to be a forest ranger. Frederick also enjoyed cooking and baking for his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents are his daughter, Heather Wright (Brad) and her mother Allison; his brother, John Holmes; his sister, Susan Timpson; and two nieces, Elizabeth and Kristin.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Longs Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. ...
