Once again, for the fourth year, the Smoky Mountain Knitting Guild is offering  FREE Learn-To-Knit classes for adults and children.  The Adult Beginngers’class will begin on Tuesday, October 2, at 2:00p.m. and will run for four weeks.  This will give new (or returning) knitters the opportunity to learn the basic stitches—knit, purl, cast on and bind off.  Then beginning in November, the Guild will offer a class “Beyond the Knit Stitch”.  This will teach novice knitters how to increase, decrease and read a pattern.  The time and location is the same as for the Beginners’ Class.    After (or in addition to) the classes,  motivated knitters are welcome in the several knitting circles that meet informally  throughout the week in Waynesville.

All class sessions will be held in the Waynesville Library board room and are FREE.  Pre-registration is required.  All materials and equipment will be supplied.  If you or someone you know would like to join either class, please contact Mary Finn at 828-246-4651 or e-mail marycfinn@email.com.
