Free memoir writing class starts Sept. 9
Join writer and former English professor Dr. Polly Davis for a free class on memoir writing beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Canton Branch Library. The three-session class will also meet on Tuesday, Sept. 23, and Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the same time and location. Class participants will be instructed on how to document their personal stories. No previous writing experience is required.
Prior to retirement, Davis was the chair of the English department at Fayetteville Technical Community College, where she taught writing. She is a member of Mountain Writers of North Carolina, and is currently working on her own memoir.
This program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Library. While the class is free to attend, registration is required as space for the class is limited. To sign up, call 648-2924.
