Free seminars available to business owners
Business owners are encouraged to participate in the following upcoming seminars offered for free at Haywood Community College.
“Take Your Business to the Big Show” will be available from June Business owners are quickly realizing that 20 percent of their customers generate 80 percent of their profits. This free online seminar will help small business owners take their business to the next level.
Speaker Russ Seagle will challenge participants to analyze the behaviors of their top customers and develop a marketing strategy to not only increase customer following, but also generate new streams of income.
This intermediate level e-seminar allows participants to work at their own pace and convenience. Materials will go live June 25 and remain open through July 25. Participants must pre-register to access the e-seminar materials.

The “Business Owner’s Guide to Social Media: Starting from Scratch to Online Success” workshop will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at HCC, 200 Building, room 222.
Learn how to use social media — Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. — as a tool to increase business.
Participants will create a Facebook business page, Twitter account and Pinterest page for their business; add information and photos to their accounts; learn how to post and share information; set goals and manage success; and learn how to build a following. This workshop will provide a hands-on approach to social media, with a computer workstation for each business owner. Participants are encouraged to bring a tablet or an iPad if they have one.
