Waynesville, NC - Singer, songwriter, and guitarist, James Hammel makes his second appearance LIVE at the Classic Wineseller on Friday, September 13 at 7pm. Joe Cruz performs vocals, and piano on Saturday, September 14 from 7-10pm. On Friday and Saturday nights there is a $10 per person minimum which includes food, drink, and retail purchases. Reservations are accepted before 7pm. Enjoy fresh small plate fare prepared in the Wineseller’s kitchen beginning at 5:30pm.

James Hammel has played music almost as long as the 20 years he spent at the top of the business world. Blending his own, often autobiographical originals, with fresh arrangements of standards, and some twists on adult pop tunes, what often comes through are both the boyish levity at his hard-earned freedom from, as well as his homage to, his years in corporate America.

Hammel has performed his songs at The Metropolitan Room, a renowned NYC jazz and cabaret club, and The Bitter End, one of the top songwriter venues worldwide. A student of the jazz guitar great, Sal Salvador, Hammel was a finalist in the Great American Song Contest and his original songs have charted on Billboard's Top 500.

Joe Cruz returns September 14 playing and singing your favorite songs of the Beatles and Sir Elton John. Cruz, who grew up in a musical family in New York City, performed in church from a young age. He became a regular on the New York club scene and has opened concerts for Chicago, Bonnie Raitt, and Santana.

The Classic Wineseller is Waynesville’s premiere retail wine and craft beer shop, small plate restaurant, and intimate live music venue, presenting local, regional, or national talent each Friday and Saturday night from 7-10pm. For more information visit or call 828-452-6000.
