Friends of the Lake 5K charitable run is March 30
Lake Junaluska will host the Friends of the Lake 5K, Family Walk, and Children’s Fun Run beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 30, as part of its annual Easter weekend activities.
The Friends of the Lake 5K Run/Family Walk is a charitable event to support the recreation opportunities of Lake Junaluska. All of the proceeds for this event go toward the annual maintenance and improvement of the recreation areas at Lake Junaluska.
This year’s 5K Run/Family Walk is part of a new initiative to raise money to support the recreational opportunities at Lake Junaluska. This program is called the Friends of the Lake. By participating in this year’s Friends of the Lake 5K/Family Walk, people will also become a member of the Friends of the Lake program.
The annual cost of maintaining the grounds and recreation facilities at Lake Junaluska is more than $250,000. To donate, contact the development office at 454-6680 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration for the Friends of the Lake 5K, Family Walk, and Fun Run can be found online, at the Bethea Welcome Center, or may be made by calling 454-6680. For more information about the Friends of the Lake program visit www.lakejunaluska.com/friends-of-the-lake.
