HART’s Winter Studio Season has had two hits in a row, and now comes the third offering for the winter, the Tony Award Winning drama “Frozen” by Bryony Lavery. The play, set in present day England, tells the story of the disappearance of a ten year old girl, Rhona, and follows the girl’s mother and killer over the years that follow. They are linked by a doctor who is studying what causes men to commit such crimes. The themes of the play include emotional paralysis and forgiveness. The title is a metaphor of the state all four characters are in at the beginning of the play, and the journey they each take to thaw.
The play is the third in HART’s winter studio season which so far has included “Agnes of God” and “Other Desert Cities” both sold out hits. “Frozen” has performances scheduled for February 14 and 15 at 7:30 and Sunday February 16 at 3pm, with possible hold over performances February 21-23. To make reservations simply call the HART Box Office any time at 828 456 6322 or go online to www.harttheatrecom . All performances are in the HART Studio Theater, 250 Pigeon St. Waynesville, NC 28786
