The Haywood Arts Council presents the first of the painting workshops  program in the upper level of Gallery 86.

Gallery 86 has now designated the upper floor of the gallery building for classes and workshops. The first workshop was held Oct. 26 and instructed by Dominick DePaolo.

Eager-to-learn participants of all skill levels each worked on a composition of their own choice. The purpose of this workshop was for students to learn how to use archival  water based oil paint that can be used with water clean up. No paint thinner or solvent is needed - a healthy "green" concept.

This medium is still unfamiliar to many artists. Each student completed theirpainting during this session. These four hours were plenty of time to learn and laugh and take pride in their painting. More workshops are planned.
