Gardner-Webb's Nathan Lile Earns CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( - Gardner-Webb's Nathan Lile (Waynesville, N.C.) has been selected as the Coastal Collegiate Swim Association's Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets competed Jan. 7-13, the League announced today.

The honor marks the first in Lile's collegiate career, and the second for GWU this season. Gardner-Webb junior Jordan Denmark (Raleigh, N.C.) earned the weekly nod in November.

Lile led Gardner-Webb to a 148-63 victory over Limestone on Friday. The freshman from Waynesville, N.C. captured first-place in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing with a pool record time of 4:42.10 in the event. Lile posted another individual win in the 200-free with a time of 1:44.8, and anchored the winning 400-medley relay.

Lile and the Runnin' Bulldogs swim at College of Charleston in a Friday-Saturday meet between CCSA rivals this weekend. Friday's session is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's competition is slated for a 10:00 a.m. start time.
