George E. Cammer
Beloved Husband and Father
WAYNESVILLE — George E. Cammer, 92, of Waynesville, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Med-West Haywood Hospital.
He was born in Butler, PA November 22, 1920 to the late Grover Cleveland and Sara Amelia Smith Cammer. He served in the US Navy during WWII, was a member of NARFE, the oldest member of the Groovy Movie Club and he was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, John Edwin Cammer and a sister, Mildred Cammer Christensen.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Malene Eure Cammer and a daughter, Robyn Cammer.
Memorial Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville with the Rev. John Lindsay officiating.
