Get on the BBQ & Brews train

BRYSON CITY — Join the first ever BBQ & Brews Dinner Train featuring slow-cooked barbecue prepared fresh and beer tastings showcasing local breweries.

Partnering with Nantahala Brewery and Heinzelmӓnnchen Brewery each will be sponsoring trains and providing exclusive tastes of their craft beer. The Nantahala Brewery will be featured onboard the BBQ & Brews trains on June 22 and July 6 and Heinzelmӓnnchen Brewery will be featured onboard the BBQ & Brews trains on June 29 and July 13.

Departing from Bryson City at 7 p.m. this train travels to the Fontana Trestle and arrives just around sunset. Arriving back at the depot promptly at 9 p.m., it will make for a wonderfully complete evening.

This adult (21+) only train ticket starts at $69 and includes a souvenir tasting glass for three samples of the crafted beer selections featured. Also included is a dinner of a pulled pork barbecue sandwich with Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce on pretzel roll, a bag of Vicki’s original Kettle Chips, homemade coleslaw, fresh grapes and key lime pie for dessert.

Skilled and knowledgeable brewery employees will be on hand throughout the train ride, to educate about the process required for crafting each brew.Additional Beer will be available for purchase onboard the train.

Admission to the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum is included with ticket purchase. Without tickets, admission to the museum is $9 for adults and $5 for children.
