Although students haven’t yet returned to the classroom, administrators at the 16 schools in the county are already hard at work.

There will be three new principals on board this year — Sherri Arrington at Junaluska Elementary School, Jill Chambers at Elementary School and Todd Barbee at North Canton Elementary School.

Students return to classes at most Haywood County public schools, including Haywood Early College, on Aug. 8. Meadowbrook Elementary is a year around school, and returned to classes on July 12.

At Bethel Christian Academy, students return to classes on Aug. 20. Haywood Christian Academy students return to classes on Aug. 16.
