The Tuscola varsity girls tennis team (2-1 WNCAC) won four of six singles matches in a 5-4 victory over visiting West Henderson Wednesday.  
Foster Kirkpatrick (6-0, 6-3), Alysia Plafcan (7-5, 6-4), Hannah Culbreth (6-3, 7-6) and Erin Peterson (6-0, 6-1) scored singles wins for the Mountaineers before Ashley Riley and Kirkpatrick won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles to clinch the match.

The Tuscola varsity volleyball team came into Wednesday evening’s contest looking to improve on its 5-1 record and take control of the WNCAC conference race.  
However, the Brevard Blue Devils (8-1 2-0), had other ideas and  took control of the match early and swept the Mountaineers, 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-23), Wednesday night in the Tuscola gym.
