Gladys Ray Davis
EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA — Gladys Ray Davis, 84, passed away after a brief illness at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.
Born in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Roland Ray and Anna Birchfield Ray. She retired from the Handee Mart, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Harold E. Davis; sons: Gene Garlan Jr. (Linda), of Mocksville, Bill Garland (Carole), of Greenville, South Carolina, Doug Garland (Judy), of Greenville, South Carolina; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud Ray and Charles Ray of Canton; and sister: Geraldine Ray Holland, of Vanceboro.
She was predeceased by brothers, Jerry, Sammy, and Tommy; and sisters, Katherine, Virginia ”Bird,” Joyce, Bobbie, Jane and Ruby.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 6, in the chapel of The Howze Mortuary. Burial was private.
