Canton police are searching for a woman who they say robbed a Goodwill clerk at gunpoint Saturday evening.

According to police reports, a woman came in the store around 6:30 p.m. and shopped for a few minutes before selecting a glass rabbit. When she went to the register to pay, she told the clerk, "Give me everything in your register and don't make me shoot you," according to reports.

The clerk told police she saw the woman reach into her right jacket pocket and reveal what looked like the wooden handle of a pistol. The clerk gave the suspect cash from the register and when the woman walked away, the police were called.

The woman appeared to be in her late 30s or early 40s, 5 feet tall and wearing a grey hoodie sweatshirt pulled tight around her face.

Several eye witnesses said they saw a woman with similar features drive away in a dark blue or green sedan with a newspaper covering the license plate. She was accompanied by a white male of medium build with sandy blonde or light brown hair and a slight mustache.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Canton Police Department at 828-648-2376.
