Got pests in the garden? Pest management class is July 15
Learn about Integrated Pest Management (IPM) at a free introductory class at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Canton Branch Library. Tim Mathews, coordinator of the Haywood County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program, will discuss IPM techniques that can be used to keep pests at bay, while remaining environmentally sensitive. Discover strategies to prevent damage to crops from insect, weeds and disease pests.
This is a Giving Garden program. The Giving Garden is a raised-bed vegetable garden located behind the Canton Branch Library that is used to teach various aspects of gardening. It is an education-oriented joint initiative of the Haywood County Public Library, Haywood County Cooperative Extension Center, and the Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program, and is supported by the Friends of the Library and the Master Gardener Volunteer Association.
