The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ newest and biggest marketing vehicles, the Got to Be NC RV and the Big Cart, will be making an appearance at the Walmart in Waynesville, promoting North Carolina commodities and the state’s No. 1 industry – agriculture.

As part of the stop, more than a dozen North Carolina companies will be sampling products and handing out materials.

The event will be at Walmart from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at 135 Town Center Loop.

Agriculture and agribusiness represent North Carolina’s leading industry, generating nearly $72 billion for the economy and employing nearly a fifth of the state’s workforce. Got to Be NC Agriculture is the official state identity program for products grown and made in North Carolina.
