Recently, Girls on the Run at Central Elementary, a group of third through fifth-grade girls, made and sold beaded jewelery to raise money for the Francis Fund.

The Francis Fund is used to help sick and injured animals that are abandoned, homeless, or the pets of people who have true financial need, as determined by the treating veterinarian. The fund helps pay for emergency procedures, including diagnosis, surgery and medicines. The goal is to see these animals restored to as fit a physical condition as possible.

Co-administrators JoAnna Swanson and Leslie Denman are deeply grateful to this group of young girls for their concern over the welfare of needy animals.
