GSMR celebrates 25 years

BRYSON CITY — Celebrating 25 years of railroading excellence and enjoyment, Great Smoky Mountains Railroad (GSMR) is anticipating its “Silver Season” this year, with opportunities to explore Western North Carolina by train and delight in the adventure of railroad engineering. Special promotions and discounts will be offered this year as well as commemorative 25th Anniversary merchandise.

Continuing in year-round operation, January and February Saturday trains will be departing for a four-hour round trip Tuckasegee River Excursion from Bryson City to Dillsboro, with a one-and-a-half  hour layover, including opportunities for shopping and dining.
