(Waynesville NC) Haywood County TEA is honored to welcome Robert Levy of the CATO Institute Thursday, June 20th at 6 pm  at  the USDA Ag Extension Center on Raccoon Road - for an intelligent discussion of some important issues. Everyone is welcome to attend.

CATO Institute is a ‘think tank’ dedicated to individual liberty, limited government, free markets and peace. It is independent and non-partisan.

In times like these, we must discuss ways to preserve freedom. Rights are being trampled upon. Many legal questions stem from the “invasion of privacy” such as emails being spied upon, phones being tapped and the IRS targeting people to prevent them from expressing their beliefs. The IRS has been charged with the task of implementing new Healthcare regulations known as Obamacare.

“Contrasting Constitutional Perspectives: Liberal vs. Conservative vs. Libertarian” – Robert Levy will link these philosophies to current “public policy debates" such as Gun Rights, Healthcare, and even election finance.

"When people fear the government - that is tyranny; but when government fears the people - that is liberty." Thomas Jefferson

Any one interested in the hot topic of “Gun Rights, Healthcare, and the Constitution” is encouraged to meet with Mr. Levy in a small group setting on Thursday, June 20th @ 6 PM at USDA: Agricultural Extension Center on 589 Raccoon Rd, Waynesville, NC 28786. Free to Attend.
