Halloween Hayride to benefit STAR is Oct. 27
There will be a hayride to benefit STAR Ranch starting at 4 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 27, at Apple Hill Farms on Plott Creek. Two mules will be pulling a hay wagon to help raise funds for the winter months ahead for the 15 horses currently in residence at STAR Ranch.
The $20 admission ticket includes a meal, provided by Smoky Shadows Lodge, a bowl of campfire chili, (professionally prepared by Mike Rodriguez, one of Ohio’s champion chili makers,) two free drinks (wine, beer or tea) and a chance on the ‘animal house’ quilt drawing to be held Nov. 25. Children under 12 eat free.
Three live bands will be performing from 5 to 7 p.m. The live auction starts at 7 p.m. with Mike Cagle who said, "We are still looking for more items to auction, but what a great start we have.” Those who have items to ...
