Hammett named president-elect of NCVMA
The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA) has announced the organization’s official 2014-15 executive officers. Dr. Kristen Hammett, veterinarian at Animal Hospital of Waynesville, will serve as NCVMA’s president-elect.
Hammett received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in Auburn, Alabama, and is the owner of the Animal Hospital of Waynesville, the first American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited practice in North Carolina west of Asheville.
The executive officers, working with the board of directors, will provide guidance on all NCVMA activities and initiatives, as well as oversight of strategic planning and future direction of the organization.
Founded in 1902, NCVMA is a professional organization of veterinarians dedicated to compassionate animal care and quality veterinary medicine.
