Pet groomer Jo Hammett announced an addition to her popular pet salon, Happy Hound Pet Grooming located at 59 Branner Ave., Waynesville.

“I am thrilled to announce Karen and Neil, two fantastic groomers, have joined Happy Hound,” said Hammett. “They have 27 years of combined grooming experience. Call them at 283-1818 for an appointment.”

And for those who prefer to wash their pet themselves, Happy Hound has two tubs and supplies available for public use. The price is based on the size of the pet. Call ahead to reserve a time.

Jo Hammett is a 1985 graduate of New York School of Dog Grooming and is also listed on Angie’s List. Happy Hound is the first and only do-it-yourself pet washing station in the area.

There are four reasons to use Happy Hound’s pet washing stations:

— Ease of bathing: No more making a mess in the bathroom. Use Happy Hound’s supplies and facilities and skip the cleanup.
— Convenience: Pet owners can wash their dog themselves in a waist-high tub with endless warm water. No more back aches or cold water.
— A bonding experience: Regular grooming sessions should be a pleasurable routine that both pets and their owners.
— Affordability and value: Using a pet washing station costs less than using a professional groomer.
