Hardy Marion 'Bill' Lovett Jr.

CENTERVILLE — Hardy Marion “Bill” Lovett Jr., 82, stepped into heaven to be with Jesus Jan. 11, 2014 following an extended illness.
A native of Florida, he graduated from Gainesville High School and the University of Florida. He married Dodi Costine of Ocala and went on to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, to earn a master's degree in religious education. Following his ordination, the Rev. Lovett served churches in Florida, Alabama and Georgia as minister of music/education.
After retirement to Waynesville, he served his church there in an interim capacity; in Centerville, Tennessee, he served as a volunteer and board member for Women Are Safe.
Survivors include Dodi, his wife of 58 years; daughters, Eileen Weber (Fred) and D'Ann Mimbs (Terry); son, Marion Lovett (Chesley); 14 grandchildren; and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Heritage Church Music Department, P.O. Box 221, Centerville, TN 37033; Women Are Safe, P.O. Box 2 Centerville, TN 37033; American Bible Society, Samaritan Purse or any charity of choice.
