CANTON — James Harold Duckett, 92, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Harrison and Lassie Lee Duckett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Everhart Duckett, who died in 1985; two brothers, John J. and Gene Ellis Duckett; and a half-brother, Randall Duckett. He retired from Champion International with 40 years of service and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canton where he served as Church Trustee Chairperson for ten years and many years as a member of the Administrative Council.
