HART’s 'Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks' held over
Before it even opened, HART’s current studio production, the dramatic comedy “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks” was selling out its opening weekend.
The production featuring Julie Kinter and Cord Scott as an aging but formidable retiree and the dance coach she hires to give her lessons in her condo featured witty barbs between two people struggling to get past the preconceptions that drive them apart.
The antagonism between a gay man and the wife of a Southern Baptist minister seemed just the right thing to brighten the winter blues. “Six Dance Lessons” ran in New York with Polly Bergan and Mark Hammel in the leads. HART’s production is being held over for a second weekend, March 7 – 9.
