On Saturday, June 2, Rux Gardens will hold their second annual benefit day for the Haywood Animal Welfare Association.
Rux will donate 50 percent of all plant sales that day to HAWA.
HAWA provides valuable services to the community, such as low cost spay/neuter programs and the Trap-Neuter-Release program which aids in the control of the feral cat population in the area.
"Last year was a big success," said Kristi Mynatt, manager at Rux. "We hope for this year to be even bigger."
Rux Gardens grows all of their plants on site and offers a large variety of annuals, perennials, and shrubs. Join them Saturday June 2, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., to show support for HAWA. Rux Gardens is located at 2930 Old Balsam Road.
The doors are open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
