Hayrides for STAR to be Oct. 27

Oct 15, 2012

Save The Animals Rescue (S.T.A.R.) Ranch is offering hayrides for kids and adults beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Apple Hill Farms, on Plott Valley Road.

There will be live entertainment, dancing, dinner (provided by Smoky Shadows Lodge), drinks and live auction — all to raise money for STAR’s horses.

STAR rescues abused, neglected and abandoned horses in Haywood County.  The ranch has helped so many of animals in need. Some don’t make it through their abuse, because STAR is called too late, but most are nursed back to health, with many hours of love, compassion and costly trips to the vet.

In its sixth year in operation, STAR has saved several hundred animals in Haywood County including horses, goats, cats, dogs and more.
