Haywood Chamber Creates Program to Strengthen Women in our Community
The Haywood County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business and the Young Professionals of Haywood are pleased to announce the launch the “Partners in Leadership” mentoring program.
“Partners in Leadership” is designed to prepare Haywood County Young Professional Women (YPW) to become future business leaders by connecting them with seasoned Women in Business (WIB) professionals (Leadership Coaches) in their field. Through a formal mentor-mentee relationship, Leadership Coaches (WIB) will guide Young Professional Women (YPW) through the process of developing professional/career goals, and helping them gain the skills necessary to achieve them.
According to Nyda Bittmann-Neville, Marketing and Communications Director for Asheville Savings Bank and Chair of Women In Business, “Once again, the Chamber has stepped up with an innovative idea to further strengthen women in our community."
The Partners in Leadership Program aims to increase the number of young females in mid and upper management and in volunteer, civic and public service leadership positions in Haywood County; through the development of professional networks among women in business, preparing young female professionals to become future business leaders and by making a difference in the career goals, overall growth and professional development of YPWs.
