Haywood Chamber Women in Business to host “Your Performance on Stage” Luncheon

Susan Belcher will inspire attendees to approach their career goals as “Your Performance On Stage” during the Haywood Chamber's Women in Business Luncheon

The Haywood Chamber of Commerce Women in Business will host speaker Susan Belcher and her session titled, “Your Performance On Stage…Flourish, Engage, Inspire”, Presented by HomeTrust Bank August 8, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Gateway Club.

Belcher's performing career spans opera, music, theatre, straight theatre, stage directing and opera administration. Her extraordinary talents have been displayed on stages across the United States.

Ms. Belcher gained her professional opera training as a young artist with the Chicago Lyric Opera Center for American Artists in Chicago, Illinois, where she debuted to critical acclaim the role of angel Zephon in the world premiere of Pendereski's Paradise Lost.  Her many opera credits range from Clorinda in La Cenerentola with the Opera Company of Philadelphia to Adele in Die Fledermaus with the Chicago Opera Theatre.

Her musical and straight theatre performances have allowed her to be levitated by magician David Copperfield, romanced by actor John Goodman and top play 'straight man" to the late Eve Arden. She has performed in numerous Master classes, including those conducted by Luciano Pavarotti and John Vickers, and has recorded with the Gregg Smith Singers.
