The board of advisors of the Haywood County Community Foundation announced 2013 awards from its community grant-making fund.

Gary Lance, board president, announced that this year’s nonprofit recipients include The Good Samaritan Clinic, KARE, Mountain Projects, and STAR Ranch.

Lance thanked the community for support of the Haywood County Community Foundation.

“These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” he said.  “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Haywood County’s community fund.”
