Haywood County Fair

The Haywood County Fair opened to a small crowd after a short rain Wednesday evening, with carnival rides and games and a short ceremony led by Voices in the Laurel and Pisgah High School's NJROTC.

Friday Aug. 22

9 a.m. — 10 p.m. Animal Viewing Zoo

9 a.m. — 2 p.m. School Day for fourth graders

4 p.m. Fish fry $10 per person, kids under 8 free at the Apple Orchard

4 p.m. Mountain Dell Equestrian at the Great Smokies Arena

5 p.m. Carnival Rides Open

5 p.m. New Generation Jamboree at the Apple Orchard

5:30 p.m. Special Persons Livestock Show at the Burley Livestock Barn

6 p.m. K-9 Demo at the Great Smokies Arena

6:30 p.m. Sheep show at the Burley Livestock Barn

7 p.m. Mountain Dell Equestrian at the Great Smokies Arena
