Haywood County Public Library now offers Zinio

Apr 22, 2013

Zinio for Libraries is an online service that allows patrons to download digital copies of popular magazines to their computer, tablet, or mobile device.

It is a new service now available through the Haywood County Public Library system.

Readers can view Zinio magazines via a web browser or via an app. Zinio apps are available for the following devices: desktop, Blackberry, I Pad, I Phone, Android, or Kindle Fire.  Zinio is easy to use.

To access Zinio, go to the Haywood County Public Library website and click on the Zinio icon.

Click on “create account”   and then enter the Haywood County Public Library patron card number. Click “validate,”  and then enter an email address and a password.  Click on “create account.”

This should take readers to the magazine list currently available to Haywood County Public Library patrons.  When a magazine is found, download it and then it will stay on the device until it is deleted.

In addition to the Zinio free magazine service, the library has other digital resources such as Freegal for free music, the North Carolina Digital Library (NCDL) for digital books on loan or Pronunciator, language software.
