Dems Hold Fall Rally Saturday, September 29

The Haywood County Democrats will hold their annual fall rally at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29 in the cafeteria at Pisgah High School, 1 Black Bear Drive, in Canton. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12.They may be purchased at Democratic Headquarters, 286 Haywood Square, in Waynesville.The office is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and on Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Precinct chairs and executive officers are selling tickets as well.

The theme will be a hoedown.A local country band will play and attendees will be able to dance to the calls of NC House of Representative candidate Joe Sam Queen.Jeans and plaid shirts will be in order. Hamburgers, hot dogs, trimmings, and homemade desserts will be served.Various prizes will be available for ladies and gents.

Local, state, and national candidates will be present to speak and answer questions.
