Congratulations were extended to Farm Bureau President, Don Smart. Agents who exemplified superior production during the contest period qualified Smart to be recognized among his peers at the Presidents’ and Agents’ Luncheon held Dec. 3.

Farm Bureau President Larry Wooten presented Smart with a limited edition Case knife.  Additionally, the Haywood County Farm Bureau Board of Directors was presented with the County of Excellence Award.  This was given to only three counties statewide for their contributions to agriculture.  The Board of Directors works with county liaison, Karen Green, to organize and plan informational events to the farming community.

In addition to the special President’s award, Haywood County Farm Bureau Insurance Agents qualified as Top Agency Statewide.  County Manager Scott Smith, along with his agents, was presented with a limited edition framed plaque in recognition of their accomplishments.  Agent Phil Wiley, received additional honors for being number one in the state of North Carolina for Electronic Applications and a fourth place award for the most life and long term care applications submitted during the contest period.
