Haywood Ramblings presents “Local History and the National Register"

The town of Waynesville’s Historic Preservation Committee will again offer Haywood Ramblings — a speaker series on the historic resources and rich heritage of Waynesville and Haywood County.
The four scheduled events will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, beginning Feb. 2 and ending May 4. In the case of snow, the event will be rescheduled for the second Thursday of the month.
“Local History and the National Register,” presented by a panel of local historians, May 4, at the historic courthouse, 215 N. Main St., Waynesville
The panel will discuss the process of having a property listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Prior to the panel discussion, the Waynesville Archives Museum, located on the second floor of the courthouse, will hold an open house from 2 to 4 p.m.
