CLYDE — Haywood Community College faculty and staff recently surpassed the goal set by the college’s Foundation for the Employee Giving Campaign. More than $8,000 was raised in a three week period.

Funds from this campaign will go to the HCC Excels Fund, which supports faculty and staff professional development, equipment purchases and new program development.

“I give because I am an alumna of HCC and it made a difference in my life," said Kerrie Mock, 2010 legal studies graduate and current human resources specialist. "So much was given to me by HCC. Now it’s my turn to give back.”

“Through giving to the Foundation, I have an opportunity to contribute in a tangible way to one of the great life-changing experiences for our students — education," said George Rolland, HCC director of IT and network administrator.

For information regarding giving opportunities, contact Pam Hardin at the HCC Foundation at 627-4544 or pahardin@haywood.edu.
