HCC offers new classes in Creative Arts Building

Haywood Community College’s Continuing Education Department will offer a number of classes in the Creative Arts Building in the coming weeks. This is a great opportunity to start a class to learn something new. From learning several programs on a Mac computer to an old favorite like stained glass, there’s something for everyone. Listed below are some of the choices available in this beautiful and inspiring facility:

Hand Building with Clay, 2-5 p.m., begins Jan. 29; Photoshop for the Mac, 2-5 p.m., begins Feb. 4; Illustrator for the Mac, 6-9 p.m., begins Feb. 4; Rustic and Reclaimed Woodworking Basics, 6-9 p.m., begins Feb. 6; Metal Beads Workshop, 10 a.m-3:30 p.m., begins Feb. 8; Beginning Fiber Spinning Workshop, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., begins Feb. 8; Bold and Twisted: Using Color and Texture in Knitting, 2-5 p.m., begins Feb. 17; Spinning Art Yarn, 6-9 p.m., begins Feb. 17; Computer Design Intro for Mac Workshop Feb. 21; Batik Dying on Cloth Workshop begins Feb. 22; and Tulip Stained Glass Window Workshop begins Feb. 22.
