Fish Fest clinic, fish fry is March 29

Haywood Community College’s Wildlife Club will hold a Fish Fest Youth Fishing Clinic and fish fry from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the college’s Millpond. The fishing clinic will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and the fish fry will be from 4 to 6 p.m.

The fishing clinic will introduce lessons in water safety, fishing ethics, respect for the outdoors and much more. The clinic is a great environmental education opportunity for local community youth.

Registration is free for youth ages 6 to 12 years. Space is limited to 40 youths. Registration is required and includes fishing clinic, personalized Fish Fest t-shirt and fish dinner. Parents must be present. Fish dinner is $7 for all non-registered youth. All proceeds benefit the HCC Wildlife Club.
