Through community generosity and support, net proceeds from the 19th annual Haywood Christian Ministry (HCM) Golf Classic, silent auction, and drawing were $122,000, a new record.  Haywood Christian Ministry and the Golf Committee are grateful for everyone who participated and sponsored the event.

With these net proceeds, which represents more than 20 percent of its annual revenue budget, HCM will continue to be able to assist and serve more than 5,000 families in crisis in Haywood County.  While a good percentage of the proceeds from this tournament will go to families in need of heating assistance this winter, the proceeds will also allow HCM to help families with other basic needs such as food, clothing, prescription medications, utilities, and rent.
