Healing ministry opens in Waynesville
The Daily Blessing Ministry, which relocated to 32 Felmet St., in Waynesville, held its grand opening Wednesday, May 15. Waynesville Mayor Gavin Brown cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially welcome the healing center to Waynesville.
Many area organizations sent representatives, including Perry Hines, with The Open Door and Second Blessing; John Berrong, of Haywood Christian Ministry; John Parris, representing the Brian Center; Zeta Woody, of Champion Credit Union; Michael Medford, owner of the building and owner of Stereo Innovations. Garrett Funeral Home and the Haywood Chamber of Commerce sent well wishes. Those who were unable to attend expressed support and welcomed the Daily Blessing Ministry Healing Prayer Room to Waynesville.
All enjoyed a tour of the ministry prayer room and library of free books.
“This ministry wants to reach out to the people with the love of Jesus praying for those who need healing from sickness physically, spiritually, emotionally, for families, and children,” said the Rev. Barbara Miller, pastor of the center.
The center moved to Waynesville from its previous location in Clyde March 26. The ministry team expressed love for Waynesville as well the surrounding towns, and are ready to serve all who come.
Miller is also grateful to Shirley and DeLetta Salido, who donated furnishings, plants, water fountain, candle holders etc; and their efforts to beautify the receiving area.
“We want to acknowledge and thank the River Family Worship Center, Pastor Darol Britt and The Town of Clyde for the time we had our prayer room with them,” said Miller. “We are grateful. They were instrumental in helping us to get to where we are now.”
The vision of the Daily Blessing Ministry is to reach the lost with Salvation, help the hurting by showing them the love of Jesus and to share the Gospel, the Word of God, laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover. In one year this month, The Prayer Room has had 748 prayer sessions.
“This is what it is all about,” said Miller.
The Daily Blessing Ministry is a nonprofit organization. There is no charge for prayer services, however donations are accepted to help with expenses.
“The ministry solely relies on God providing," said Miller. “We are hopeful that some may feel lead to sew a seed of faith by supporting the center with a monthly donation.”
