Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation’s 5th Annual Furry Friends Benefit Bash will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Laurel Ridge Country Club in Waynesville. It promises to be an evening of fun, food, music and lively live and silent auctions.

Travis Royston returns as the auctioneer for the live auction that will include vacation packages, special dinners and an art workshop. In addition, the silent auction will have golf, dining, and spa packages as well as unique items for people and their pets.

“Momentum is growing and records are being set for Sarge’s pet adoptions, but there is still much work to be done to save homeless dogs and cats in Haywood County,” said Gary Smith, board president. Sarge’s is grateful to The Mountaineer for partnering with us to alert the community about the Furry Friends Benefit Bash. We feel it will be our biggest and best yet.”

Once again the event this year will be a sit-down dinner with four entrees from which to choose. Laurel Ridge Country Club is offering prime rib, chicken Marsala, salmon or vegetarian entrée, all with side dishes, salad and dessert. There will be a cash bar.

Tickets may be purchased for $50 per person at Sarge’s Adoption Center, 256 Industrial Park Dr. in Waynesville. Table sponsorships are available for $450, which will reserve a table for eight guests. Call 246-9050 or see the registration form at
