Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather
CANTON — Henry Rhinehart, 84, of Canton, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013.
Mr. Rhinehart was born May 21, 1928, in Haywood County to the late Bass H. Rhinehart and the late Emma Galloway Rhinehart. He was a lifelong native of Haywood County and retired from Champion International with 42 years of dedicated service. Mr. Rhinehart was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He deeply loved his family and the memories of fishing trips with his grandchildren and nephews will be cherished forever by each of them. Mr. Rhinehart will be deeply missed by family and his many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Rhinehart; three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Carie Whitaker Rhinehart, of Canton; a daughter, Tammy Messer, and her husband, Eddie Messer, of Canton; a son, Billy Joe Rhinehart, and his wife, Lora Lee Rhinehart, of Canton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Gladys Bovey, of Canton, and Eva Martin, of Atlanta, Georgia; and a brother, Bruce Rhinehart, of Canton.
A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 20, at the Rhinehart home.
