Highland hosts first-ever Ale Share Beer Fest

Jul 23, 2014

In case you thought Asheville needed another reason to drink craft beer, Highland Brewing Company has stepped up to help out by hosting the first-ever Ale Share Beer Fest.

The newest beer fest in Asheville will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at The Meadow at Highland Brewing Company. All proceeds from this beer festival will go to fund Asheville Parks & Greenways Foundation. This is the same weekend that Bele Chere used to be held in downtown, and Highland plans on holding this beer festival on this Saturday each year in support of local community.

The festival will include live music and food from Pho Ya Belly, Smashbox and Mama Dukes food trucks.

Each participating brewery has been asked to showcase at least one year-round beer, one seasonal beer and one specialty beer. Live bands include The Sufi Brothers featuring Woody Wood, Mark Shane and Floating Action.

General admission tickets cost $35, VIP tickets cost $50 and include a T-shirt and early admission, and designated driver tickets cost $15. For more information, visit www.highlandbrewing.com.
