Hike to the Waynesville Watershed

The Waynesville Parks and Recreation Department will offer a hike to the Waynesville Watershed Saturday, Oct. 26. This is for all ages.
Each participant must register for this event at the Waynesville Recreation Center in advance. There is no cost for the program.
The trip will begin at the Waynesville Water Treatment Plant at 9 a.m., so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. After meeting at the plant, the group will then carpool to the appropriate location on the parkway. The hike will be downhill and will go in two groups for moderate pace walkers and slower walkers.
The hike is considered to be moderately strenuous and will be held rain or shine. Bring a lunch, water, appropriate clothing, hat, rain gear and hiking shoes. Pets are not allowed.
